Although Petitgrain essential oil belongs to the same botanical species as Neroli and Bitter Orange, it possesses its own unique aroma and characteristics. It is distilled from the leaves, twigs and branches of the orange tree whereas Neroli is distilled from the blossoms and Orange Essential Oil is derived from the skin of the fruit. Petitgrain is a sedative, relaxant, tranquilizer and can be used to calm anxieties and prevent insomnia.
